> UTB STUDENTS RECEIVED BSJV SCHOLARSHIPS

Brunei Shell Joint Venture (BSJV) Scholarships were awarded to seven exemplary students of which six students are from UTB and one from UBD. The BSJV Scholarship Contract Signing ceremony took place at Indera Samudra Grand Hall, The Empire Brunei, in Kg. Jerudong.

Present as the Guest of Honour for the ceremony was Yang Berhormat Datin Seri Setia Dr. Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Mohd Salleh, Minister of Education Brunei Darussalam.

Also present was Yang Mulia Agnete Johnsgaard-Lewis, Country Chair of Shell Companies in Brunei and Managing Director of BSP, Yang Mulia Haji Azhar bin Yahya, the Permanent Secretary (Energy), Department of Energy, Prime Minister’s Office;  Yang Mulia Dr Haji Azman bin Ahmad, Permanent Secretary (Higher Education), Ministry of Education; Yang Mulia Datin Paduka Professor Dr. Dayang Hajah Zohrah binti Haji Sulaiman, Vice-Chancellor of UTB; Yang Mulia Hajah Rubiah binti Haji Yacub, Acting Vice-Chancellor of UBD; Yang Mulia Muhammad Norshafiee bin Dato Paduka Haji Abdul Jalil, BSM Managing Director; and Yang Mulia Hajah Zainab MA Omar, BSP Human Resources Director.

The awardees will pursue their degree courses at UTB and UBD and will join the BSJV companies as young professionals after graduation. These students  include Yang Mulia Muhammad Afeef Riyadhuddin bin Muhammad Azharuddin, BEng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering; Yang Mulia Insyirah Islam binti Mohammad Taib, BEng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering; Yang Mulia Adrian Kok Voon Li, BEng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering; Yang Mulia Danial Iskandar bin Haji Adi Wisma, BEng (Hons) in Chemical Engineering; Yang Mulia Muhammad Naqie Humaidy bin Haji Nasrul Ashady; BEng (Hons) in Chemical Engineering; and Yang Mulia Nur Absarina binti Mohammad Yusran, BEng (Hons) in Chemical Engineering.
