UTB student won first place in the Majlis Pertandingan Membaca Ayat-Ayat Suci Al-Quran Secara Murattal Antara Institusi-Institusi Pengajian Tinggi, in conjunction with His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam 76th Royal Birthday. The event was held this morning at Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien (SOAS) Mosque.
Yang Mulia Dayang Hadziqah binti Haji Ayop, student from the Faculty of Engineering undertaking BEng (Hons) in Civil Engineering won first place in the competition. For the male category, Muhammad Naqib Ahwazie bin Mohammad Ali Khairi, student from Faculty of Engineering undertaking BEng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering also represented the university.
The event was organised by the SOAS Mosque Takmir Committee with the Mosque Affairs Department, and Mosque Takmir of the Ministry of Religious Affairs Brunei Darussalam.
