6 August 2024 - The AITI Brunei Content Festival 2024 has recognised the outstanding talent and creativity of students from the School of Computing and Informatics, particularly in the Best Animation Category for Institutes of Higher Learning.

Five students Creative Computing Students from the School participated in this category, presenting their Final Year Project (FYP) animation videos. This segment of the festival highlighted innovative student work in animation and digital media.

Naderah Nabelah @ Derah Hj Mohd Faderin Lee from Intake 5 clinched the topprize with her animation titled ‘Hearing the Sign Language’. Rida Nurdinibinti Awang Haji Ibrahim from Intake 6 was named a finalist. Three other students also showcased their work: Dk. Nurul Asykin binti Pengiran Norarffin and Wan Azizi bin Wan Ali from Intake 6, and Nur Syahirah binti Haji Fadzil from Intake 8.

The Brunei Content Festival Awards, an annual event hosted by the Authority for Info-communications Technology Industry of Brunei Darussalam (AITI), aims to celebrate and encourage local content creation in the broadcasting industry. This recognition underscores the high quality of work produced by the School of Computing and Informatics students and their growing impact in the field of digital media and animation.
