UTB’s Scholar Scheme signing ceremony was held today at the Pearl Building, phase 2.
UTB’s Scholar Scheme is awarded to deserving students to pursue Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) study.
Present as the Guest of Honour was Yang Mulia Datin Paduka Professor Dr Dayang Hajah Zohrah binti Haji Sulaiman, Vice-Chancellor of UTB. Also in attendance were UTB Principal Officers, staff, and invited guests.
The event commenced with a recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa
Kesyukuran followed by a welcoming speech by Yang Mulia Awang Lim Chui Hua, the Registrar and Secretary of UTB.
The event then proceeded with signing of an agreement between Dayang Rohadatul’ Aisy Nabilah binti Irwan witnessed by her father Awang Irwan bin Haji Lois and Yang Mulia Dr Dayang Hajah Ena Kartina binti Haji Abdul Rahman, Assistant Vice-Chancellor (Academic) witnessed by Yang Mulia Awang Lim Chui Hua.
Dayang Rohadatul’ Aisy Nabilah binti Irwan, is the first ever recipient of UTB’s Scholar Scheme. She graduated with a First Class Honours in Bachelor of Business (Honours) in Technology Management and received the Chancellor’s award, the Sultanate’s first to be given to graduates of Higher Education Institutions for her excellence in scholarly conduct, accomplishments, and contributions during her time at UTB.
She will spend three years in United Kingdom pursuing her PhD in Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the Loughborough University. Upon completion and being conferred a PhD, she will be recruited as a lecturer of UTB School of Business.
