4 August 2024 - Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) took part in the Royal Birthday Cycling Recreation 2024, an event held at Taman Haji Sir Muda Omar 'Ali Saifuddien to commemorate the 78th birthday of His Majesty The Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam. This participation showcased UTB's engagement in national celebrations and its commitment to honoring the country's leadership.
The university was represented by a delegation of senior officials, led by Yang Mulia Datin Paduka Professor Dr Dayang Hajah Zohrah binti Haji Sulaiman, the Vice-Chancellor of UTB. Accompanying her were several key members of the university's leadership team, Yang Mulia Dr Mohamad Saiful bin Hj Omar, Assistant Vice-Chancellor (External & Industry Relations), Yang Mulia Professor Dr Mohamed Hasnain Isa, Assistant Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation), Yang Mulia Dr Au Thien Wan, Assistant Vice-Chancellor (Student, Alumni and Services), Yang Mulia Lim Chui Hua, the Registrar and Secretary, Yang Mulia Awang Hamdani Haji Ibrahim, the Bursar and Yang Mulia Dr Hj Mohd Khairul Ja'afar bin Haji Masri, Acting Head of Estate.
The cycling recreation served as a platform for the university to join the wider community in marking this important royal occasion, reinforcing UTB's role as an active participant in national events and celebrations.
