UTB was invited to celebrate and commemorate Canada’s complete achievements of independence held at the Mutiara Ballroom of Radisson Hotel, Bandar Seri Begawan.
At the event Her Excellency Jeanette Stovel, The High Commissioner of Canada to Brunei Darussalam, in her remarks, congratulated nine (9) UTB students who received the Canada-ASEAN Scholarship and Educational Exchanges for Development (SEED) programme. The nine luckystudents include Mohammad Umair Wafri @Mohammad Lliya bin Noor Ahsffian, Muhammad Syafi bin Muhammad ‘Azmin from the Faculty of Engineering; Dk Nur Badzlina Amanina Puteri Bte Pg Mohd Caesar, Khairul Danial Ikhwan bin Abdul Ahad, Muhammad Azizi bin Haji Ariffin from UTB School of Business; Izeyaan binti Idham Khalid, Muhammad Muizzuddin bin Mahdi from School of Computing and Informatics; Awangku Syazwan bin Pengiran Sulaiman from School of Applied Sciences and Mathematics; and Dyg Auji Haziqah binti Haji Mustapa from Centre for Communication, Teaching and Learning. UTB is the first and only Higher Education Institution in the Sultanate receiving the SEED programme scholarship.
Also present at the event was UTB Vice-Chancellor, Yang Mulia Professor Dr. Dayang Hajah Zohrah binti Haji Sulaiman.
Her excellency also donated several Canadian books to UTB. Receiving on behalf of the university was Hajah Dayang Siti Asmahlati Bolkini binti Haji A. Ahmad, Director of Corporate Communications Office, UTB.
