In a meaningful step towards strengthening academic, spiritual and community programmes, Print Plus Sendirian Berhad (Sdn Bhd) and Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) today formalised a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the design, printing and supply of the Mushaf UTB A5 (Waqaf Edition).
The signing ceremony took place at Main Conference Room of UTB in Tungku Link Gadong and was attended by representatives of both organisations. The agreement was formalised by Yang Mulia Datin Paduka Professor Dr Dayang Hajah Zohrah binti Haji Sulaiman, Vice-Chancellor of UTB and Yang Mulia Awang Muhammad Reeda bin Hj Malik, General Manager of Print Plus Sdn Bhd. The signing was witnessed by Yang Mulia Mr Lim Chui Hua, Registrar and Secretary of UTB, and Yang Mulia Hj Aylwin bin Alimin, Head of Sales and Marketing.
This collaboration establishes a clear framework covering commercial terms, technical specifications, pricing and operational arrangements to ensure the successful delivery of UTB Mushaf (Waqaf Edition).
Through this partnership, both parties aimed to enhance access to Quran for students and the wider community while supporting teaching, learning and spiritual enrichment initiatives within the university. The initiative is also expected to encourage the culture of giving through waqaf, an initiative not foreign to Print Plus. This aim to create a lasting impact that extends beyond the university.
Yang Mulia Datin Paduka Professor Dr Dayang Hajah Zohrah shared, “This collaboration reflects our commitment to academic excellence, spiritual growth, and community values. The UTB Mushaf Waqf initiative will serve as a meaningful platform to extend knowledge and encourage a lasting culture of giving.”
Yang Mulia Awang Muhammad Reeda bin Hj Malik, General Manager of Print Plus Sdn Bhd added, “At Print Plus, we believe printing goes beyond production, it is about preserving knowledge and creating impact. We are honoured to partner with Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) on this initiative and we look forward to delivering a Mushaf that upholds the highest standards of quality and purpose.”
The partnership is expected to strengthen collaboration between industry and academia, open opportunities for future joint initiatives and contribute to sustainable community development through knowledge sharing and waqaf efforts.
