Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) hosted the second Konsortium Universiti Universitas Borneo (KUUB) Board Meeting 2024, which took place at Conference Centre of Balai Khazanah Islam Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah.
KUUB is a consortium of universities in Borneo dedicated to enhancing regional collaboration and academic excellence. The board meeting is a key event where representatives from member institutions gather to discuss progress, plan future initiatives, and strengthen partnerships.
The meeting began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa Selamat, followed by a welcoming remark delivered by Yang Mulia Datin Paduka Professor Dr Dayang Hajah Zohrah binti Haji Sulaiman, the Vice-Chancellor of UTB. This was followed by an opening remark by the KUUB President, Yang Mulia Professor Dr Shahrul Razid Sarbini.
A keynote session was then delivered by Yang Mulia Professor Dr Ir. H. Abdunuur, M.Si KUUB Deputy Chairman on The Spirit of Indonesia's New Capital for university relations and cooperation between countries on the island of Borneo.
The agenda included an overview from the university presidents and official representatives, approval of the Minutes of Meeting (MoM), and discussion of matters arising. Reports on the progress and achievements of the year were presented, along with plans and strategies for the upcoming year to further advance the consortium's goals in technological education and research.
The meeting concluded with closing remarks from the KUUB President. The successful completion of the 2nd KUUB Board Meeting 2024 represents a significant milestone for KUUB and paves the way for future collaborations and initiatives.
