> UTB COMMENCES TÜRKIYE CULTURAL WORKSHOP SERIES WITH TRADITIONAL ARCHERY SESSION

In conjunction with UTB’s 40th Anniversary celebrations themed “The First 40 Years: Enlivening Legacy, Empowering Innovations,” the Centre for Communication, Teaching and Learning (CCTL), in collaboration with the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye, organised a Türkiye Cultural Archery Workshop at theMulti-Purpose Hall (MPH) field, UTB.

The workshop introduced UTB students and staff to the traditional art of Türkiye archery. Guided by certified archery handlers, participants explored the historical significance, discipline, posture, and cultural philosophy behind the practice while engaging in supervised hands-on sessions.

The full-day activity provided a unique opportunity to experience a traditional sport deeply rooted in Türkiye’s heritage. It also fostered interaction and engagement within the campus community through a culturally enriching and inclusive learning environment.

The session forms part of a series of Türkiye Cultural Workshops aimed at promoting intercultural understanding, embodied learning, and international collaboration, while contributing to the University’s milestone celebration.
