ACADEMIC ROBE FOR CONVOCATION 2026

FULL PAYMENT OF RENTING AND PURCHASING OF ACADEMIC ROBE:
Please be informed that the payment of the academic robe for Convocation 2026 is now open. Please take note of the following steps to make the full payment for the academic robe:
- Download the Academic Robe Payment Collection and Return Form from the website and fill in the information requested (printing of the form at the Finance Section, Bursar’s Office will be charged BND0.20 cents per paper) – (Form is not available at the moment and will be shared once the Convocation Ceremony date has been confirmed).
- Full Payment of robe (Rent/Purchase could be made via BIBD online transfer, or Cash Deposit Machines (CDM), or over BIBD counter, from 4th August 2026 until 15th August 2026. Please refer to the bill payment guide.
- Screenshot and submit your proof of payment by completing the form at
https://bit.ly/UTB-ROBEPAYMENT2026
- Official Receipt of the full payment (Rent/Purchase) can be collected at the Finance Section, Bursar’s Office during the collection date (which will be announced at later date).
- Bring the Official Receipt issued by the Finance Section, Bursar’s Office and the Academic Robe Payment Collection and Return Form to the Room GA.24 for collection process.
- Please be seated outside the room and wait to be called during the collection robe day.
- Then, submit your Academic Robe Payment Collection and Return Form to the staff in charge.
NOTES:
- Please be informed that the date of the UTB Convocation Ceremony 2026 has not yet been confirmed.
- The collection of academic robes will take place between five (5) and nine (9) working days prior to the UTB Convocation Ceremony 2026.
- Any further updates, including the academic robe collection schedule, will be communicated to graduands as soon as confirmation is received from the relevant authority.
The collection of the academic robes will be scheduled for each respective Faculty/School on the designated day below, subject to confirmation of the UTB Convocation Ceremony date.

Full payment for the Rental of the academic robe must be MADE BEFORE COLLECTING THE ROBE.

MALE GRADUATES are to purchase their own songkok with ‘taris’ at the Pusat Latihan Kesenian dan Pertukangan Tangan Brunei in Bandar Seri Begawan. You may proceed to place your order with ‘taris’ at the Pusat Latihan Kesenian dan Pertukangan Tangan Brunei at the earliest convenience.
RETURN OF ACADEMIC ROBE:
All rented academic robes are expected to be returned no later than ONE WEEK AFTER the Convocation Ceremony. A late return fee of B$10.00 per week will be imposed thereafter. Robes returned after within the time frame allowed (which will be announced at later date) will be CONSIDERED SOLD, AND THE FULL PURCHASE PRICE MUST BE PAID IN FULL.

REMINDER: CANCELLATION OF ROBE RENTAL/PURCHASE IS NOT ALLOWED. As such, the deposit is non-refundable and graduates will be held responsible to pay the remaining amount of the robe purchased.
Graduates are responsible for the care of the academic robes against any damage, stained or loss arising from negligence. Academic robes are considered sold at full price for any damage, stained or loss caused by graduates. |
