A briefing session for the participants of the Crown Prince CIPTA (Creative, Innovative Product and Technological Advancement) Award 2021 competition was held during a general meeting at the Lecture Theatre 2, Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) campus.
Yang Mulia Pg Dr Rafidah binti Pg Hj Petra, Co-Head of the Technical Committee presented at the briefing where she provided a detailed explanation on the categories, guidelines, assessment process and judging criteria.
There was also an open forum at the end of the briefing where the participants asked questions and obtained clarifications on the competition.
This year, a total of fifty-four projects were shortlisted in the competition. The shortlisted participants are comprised of students from various secondary schools and institutions and general public including ASEAN countries.
CIPTA Award 2021, the ninth installment of the biennial competition, inspires youth and the public to develop creative products, processes or technology for national and ASEAN aspirations and encourages participants to develop inventions and innovations. The competition is organised by UTB in partnership with Brunei LNG Sdn Bhd as the main sponsor.
