> TALK ON DEEPWATER/SUBSEA DESIGN BY BSP ENGINEERS

27 May 2021 – Over 40 students and staff of the Faculty of Engineering attended a talk on Multi-disciplinary Engineering Approach in Deepwater/Subsea Design delivered by Brunei Shell Petroleum (BSP) engineers, Eric Chang, Rashidah Mustafa, Lim Wen Yah and Nazmi Hj Ahmad.

The talk showcased the technologies and systems involved in deepwater/subsea oil & gas production infrastructure, and highlighted the need for inter-disciplinary collaboration among engineers to meet the technical and economic challenges of such developments. 

The event also provided valuable insights to students across all disciplines of the Faculty of Engineering, including chemical, civil, electronic & electrical, mechatronics, mechanical and petroleum engineering, into the nature of a career in the oil & gas industry, which continues to contribute significantly to the economic development of Brunei Darussalam.
