The event commenced with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah followed by welcoming remarks by Yang Mulia Dr Ismawi bin Hj Md Yusof, Director of Industry Liaison Office UTB.
The session was attended by UTB lecturers, researchers, and academic staff who were keen to explore the practical applications of artificial intelligence in higher education. The session focused on Google’s latest AI innovations, Gemini AI and NotebookLM and their potential to transform teaching, learning, and research practices in academia.
During the session, Ms Sze Mei introduced Gemini AI, Google’s latest multimodal model, and demonstrated how it can enhance the classroom experience through interactive content generation, personalised learning support, and intelligent feedback mechanisms.
