Seven students who successfully completed their 14-week BriCOMP programme at Micronet International College (MIC) were celebrated this morning at a certificate presentation ceremony held at the MIC Jerudong Campus. This batch (intake March 2021) is the second cohort under BriCOMP programme since it was signed in 2020 between MIC and Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB).
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa Selamat followed by remarks from Yang Mulia Ms Sharon Chin, the General Manager of MIC and the Guest of Honour, Yang Mulia Professor Dr. Dayang Hajah Zohrah binti Haji Sulaiman, UTB Vice-Chancellor.
It was then proceeded with a certificate presentation to the students by the Guest of Honour.
Also in attendance were Yang Mulia Mr Sylvester Yong, Chief Executive Officer of MIC; UTB Principal Officers; Senior Officers from MIC and students of Micronet BriCOMP Intake March 2021.
BriCOMP is a UTB-Satellite Partner Bridging Programme signed in 2020 with MIC which provides opportunity for students who wish to pursue their undergraduate degree education at UTB but fall short of points for admission into specific undergraduate programmes in Computing. Some of the Computing undergraduate programmes at UTB include BSc (Hons) in Digital Media, BSc (Hons) in Creative Multimedia, BSc (Hons) in Computing (Major in Software Development), BSc (Hons) in Computing (Major in Data Analytics), BSc (Hons) in Computer and Information Security and BSc (Hons) in Computer Networking.
