Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) organised a Khatam Al-Quran Ceremony in conjunction with the University’s 40th Anniversary Celebration for the year 1447H / 2026. The ceremony took place at the University Mosque, Universiti Brunei Darussalam, Jalan Tungku.
The event marked the completion of 40 readings of the Al-Quran, collectively performed by UTB staff and students held in the month of Ramadhan. The ceremony formed part of UTB’s anniversary activities and served as a meaningful opportunity for the UTB community to come together in prayer.
Present as the Guest of Honour was Yang Mulia Datin Paduka Professor Dr Dayang Hajah Zohrah binti Haji Sulaiman, Vice-Chancellor of UTB.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by the recitation of Surah Ad-Dhuha to Surah Al-Masad, Takhtim recitation, and the Khatam Al-Quran supplication. The ceremony was further enhanced with Dikir Marhaban.
Certificates of Khatam Al-Quran were then presented to the participants in recognition of their completion of the recitation. In addition, Certificates of Appreciation were awarded to members of the Lajnah Tadqiq and Murajaah Committee of the UTB Mushaf Publication in recognition of their valuable contributions towards the publication and preservation of the Universiti Teknologi Brunei Mushaf.
The ceremony concluded with a Doa Selamat, seeking continued blessings, well-being and success for the University and its community as UTB celebrates 40 years of service and contribution to higher education.
