The Interprogramme for the 2025 session at UTB, which started on 30 August 2025, has come to an end with the Closing Ceremony, marking the conclusion of a series of engaging activities for students. The programme consisted of sports and games including badminton, tag rugby, volleyball, frisbee, dodgeball, netball, chess, and futsal.
Present as the Guest of Honour was Yang Mulia Datin Paduka Professor Dr Dayang Hajah Zohrah binti Haji Sulaiman, Vice-Chancellor of UTB. Also present were UTB Principal Officers, staff, and students.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by Yang Mulia Awang Muhammad Afif bin Haji Maidin, Head of the Religious and Spiritual Affairs ExCo, Majlis Perwakilan Pelajar Session 2025/2026, UTB.This was followed by welcoming remarks delivered by Co-Chairperson Yang Mulia Dayang Khalisatulwafa binti Dr Kharhan, Head of the Sports ExCo, Majlis Perwakilan Pelajar Session 2025/2026, UTB, highlighting the achievements and collaborative spirit of the student body throughout the programme.
The event continued with a Video Showcase of the top three voted entries, followed by the awarding of medals across seven sports categories. Trophies for the intellectual and creative competitions were presented to the winners of the chess and video-making contests.
In chess, the Black Knights from the Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Civil Engineering and Centre of Communication, Teaching and Learning secured first place, followed by the Green Knights from the School of Applied Sciences and Mathematics and from Chemical Engineering in second place. Meanwhile Blue Knights from the School of Business took third place.
In the video-making competition, Green Knights took first place. Pink Knights from the School of Computing and Informatics came second, and the Black Knights placed third.
The ‘Most Valuable Player’ trophies were awarded to Akmal Khuzairi bin Roslan (Male, Green Knights) and Nur Syafiqa Haziqah binti Mohd Noh (Female, Blue Knights). The highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of the Overall Winner trophy to the Green Knights, representing the School of Applied Science and Mathematics and Chemical Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering, who accumulated three gold, six silver, and one bronze medal. This recognition celebrated their exceptional performance, teamwork, and dedication throughout the Interprogramme.
