Awang Lim Zhi Jian @ Nathan, UTB student undertaking BEng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering was selected as one of the participants of the ASEAN Seeds for the Future 2022 youth representing the Sultanate.
Joining him was other 20 youth delegates sponsored by ASEAN Foundation to participate at the Huawei Asia-Pacific Seeds for the Future 2022 in Thailand from 18 to 28 August 2022.
The programme is a cross-cultural digital boot camp in Bangkok and Hua Hin for digital talents in the Asia Pacific region that culminates at the Tech4Good youth competition.
The selection process of ASEAN Seeds for the Future 2022 was competitive, where undergraduate students from all ASEAN countries were welcome to apply. The applicants were expected to be tech savvy, passionate for the ICT industry, aware of global issues, having team spirit and leadership, and interested in cultural exchange activities. These should be presented in a self introduction video and a motivation letter during application submission as well as during follow up interview.
