Two alumni of Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB), Yang Mulia Muhammad Noor Akma bin Abdullah Alinoor and Yang Mulia Siti Raudhah binti Haji Mohd Salleh, were selected for Cohort 3 of the Tech Experience Learning Overseas in a Real-Working Environment (TechXPLORE) Digital Apprenticeship Programme, securing opportunities to gain international industry exposure and further develop their expertise in the digital technology sector.
Their achievement was recognised at the TechXPLORE Cohort 3 Award Presentation Ceremony, organised by the Authority for Infocommunications Technology Industry of Brunei Darussalam (AITI) on 29 October 2026 at Seri Kerna Hall, AITI Headquarters, Anggerek Desa. The recognition marked the beginning of their international apprenticeship placements in Indonesia, where they were set to gain practical experience in an overseas industry environment.
Muhammad Noor Akma bin Abdullah Alinoor graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Information Security from UTB’s School of Computing and Informatics. Meanwhile, Siti Raudhah binti Haji Mohd Salleh holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Computing, majoring in Data Analytics, as well as a Master of Science by coursework in Cyber Security under the ASEAN Cyber Shield project.
TechXPLORE is a seven-month international digital apprenticeship programme designed to immerse participants in advanced information and communications technology (ICT) environments overseas. For Cohort 3, AITI collaborated with Mindtrex Academy Sdn Bhd, with the selected apprentices undertaking placements in Indonesia.
Throughout the programme, the apprentices will have opportunities to work alongside industry professionals in areas such as software development, system administration and data analytics. The placements are intended to strengthen their technical competencies, deepen their understanding of industry practices and expand their professional networks, equipping them to respond to emerging opportunities in the digital economy.
The selection of UTB alumni for the programme highlights the value of combining strong academic foundations with practical industry experience and international exposure. Such opportunities enable graduates to broaden their professional perspectives and develop capabilities relevant to the evolving demands of the digital sector.
UTB takes pride in the achievements of its alumni, whose continued professional development reflects the University's contribution to nurturing skilled graduates. Their participation in TechXPLORE also supports wider efforts to develop digital talent capable of contributing to Brunei Darussalam’s digital transformation and national development aspirations.
UTB congratulates Muhammad Noor Akma bin Abdullah Alinoor and Siti Raudhah binti Haji Mohd Salleh on their selection and wishes them every success in their international apprenticeship journey.
