More than fifty participants attended the third session of the Beyond the Classrooms LIVE@UTB Webinar Series entitled 'Things you didn’t know about Spreadsheet'. Organised by Tri-CEd and Faculty of Engineering (FEng), this edition focused on the tips and tricks in spreadsheet that could ease the learning process of the learners.
The session delivered by Dr. Rama Rao Karri, Senior Assistant Professor, FEng was attended by participants comprising students, graduates and lecturers from UTB as well as the public.
According to Dr. Rao, there are a lot of things that can be done with Microsoft Excel spreadsheet that people are unaware of. Other than storing information, users are able to organise, compile, categorise and analyse data into logical format.
In the session, Dr. Rao also introduced some of Microsoft Excel features such as simple student data entry form, creating dashboard, sending personalised emails through Word-Excel-Outlook, creating QR code and sending automatic e-certificates for participants. The participants were also taught on how to use spreadsheet through shared files in Google Drive.
