On the occasion of His Royal Highness Prince (Dr.) Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah Ibni Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia Paduka Seri Baginda Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office, Pro-Chancellor of Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD), Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) and Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) 48th Birthday, UBD, UNISSA and UTB held a Doa Kesyukuran ceremony. The ceremony took place at the University Mosque at Jalan Tungku Link.
Present as the Guest of Honour was Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Hj Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs. Also present were Yang Mulia Datin Dr. Dayang Hajah Anita Binurul Zahrina binti Pehin Orang Kaya Laila Wijaya Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Abdul Aziz, UBD Vice-Chancellor; Yang Mulia Dr. Awang Haji Norarfan bin Haji Zainal, Rector of UNISSA, Yang Mulia Professor Dr. Dayang Hajah Zohrah binti Haji Sulaiman, UTB Vice-Chancellor, Yang Mulia Dr. Haji Azman bin Ahmad, Permanent Secretary (Higher Education) of Ministry of Education; senior officials; lecturers; staff and students of the Universities.
The ceremony commenced with mass Maghrib and Sunat Hajat prayer led by Yang Mulia Muhammad bin Haji Bagol, Mosque Affairs Officer followed by the mass recitation of Surah Yassin and Doa Kesyukuran. The ceremony concluded with the mass Isya prayer.
