Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) held its Dean’s List Award 2026 Presentation Ceremony at the Multi-Purpose Hall, celebrating the academic excellence of 49 students across its faculty and schools.

The Guest of Honour, Yang Mulia Associate Professor Pengiran Dr. Mohamad Iskandar bin Pengiran Haji Petra, Vice-Chancellor of UTB, attended the ceremony alongside UTB principal officers, academic staff, and families of the award recipients.

The event began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa Selamat led by Yang Mulia Ustaz Mohd Fazalley bin Haji Hidup, Head of the Religious Unit. This was followed by welcoming remarks delivered by Yang Mulia Dr. Hajah Ena Kartina binti Haji Abdul Rahman, Assistant Vice-Chancellor (Academic Affairs).

In her address, Dr. Hajah Ena Kartina emphasised that being placed on the Dean’s List reflected “dedication, discipline, perseverance and commitment to studies.” She noted that the award recognised not only the results achieved but also the effort and determination behind them. She further acknowledged the contributions of lecturers, academic staff, families, and friends in supporting student success.

Each recipient was presented with a medal and certificate by their respective Deans, representing faculties including Yang Mulia Pengiran Dr Seri Rahayu binti Pengiran Ya’akub, Dean of Faculty of Engineering; Yang Mulia Associate Professor Dr. Mohamed Saleem Haja Nazmudeen, Dean of UTB School of Business; Yang Mulia Dr. Ravi Kumar Patchmuthu, Acting Dean of School of Computing And Informatics; Yang Mulia Dr. Namasivayam Navaranjan, Dean of School of Applied Sciences and Mathematics; Yang Mulia Professor Dr. Yulfian Aminanda, Dean of School of Design; and Yang Mulia Dr. Nena Padilla-valdez, Dean of Centre for Communication, Teaching and Learning.

The Dean’s List Award 2026 reaffirmed UTB’s commitment to nurturing academic excellence, innovation, and holistic student development.
