7 August 2024 - Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) proudly welcomed Mr. Young-Sang Lee, the esteemed President of Data Streams Korea, marking a significant step towards a promising collaboration. A discussion were held with UTB's School of Computing and Informatics (SCI) to explore potential partnerships, including student internships and joint projects.

Mr. Lee also had the opportunity to tour UTB's Shell AI Lab, where he was introduced to innovative AI projects developed by the university's talented students. The visit highlighted UTB's commitment to advancing AI research and development, providing students with the resources and opportunities to excel in this rapidly evolving field.

The visit culminated in the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Data Streams Korea and UTB. Mr. Young-Sang Lee and Yang Mulia Datin Paduka Professor Dr. Dayang Hajah Zohrah binti Hj Sulaiman, the Vice-Chancellor of UTB formalised the agreement. This MOU signifies a mutual commitment to collaboration in crucial areas such as research, development and student training.

The visit underscores UTB’s proactive approach in establishing strategic partnerships with industry leaders, aiming ro enhance its academic offerings and research capabilities. The collaboration with Data Streams Korea is poised to open new avenues for UTB’s students and faculty, potentially leading to enriched learning experiences, groundbreaking research initiative, and expanded career opportunities in the realms of AI and computing.
