The Ministry of Education, through the Department of Administration and Services organised a presentation ceremony for recipients of the State Honorary Medals for the year 2021. This is in conjunction with the birthday of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam. The ceremony was held at the An-Naura Hall, Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Complex.
Present as the Guest of Honour to hand over the medals was the Minister of Education, Yang Berhormat Datin Seri Paduka Dr. Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Mohd Salleh.
A total of sixteen recipients comprising of three recipients received the Pingat Indah Kerja Baik (PIKB or Excellent Service) and thirteen staff were conferred with Pingat Kerja Lama (PKL or Long Service) at the event. Among the recipients from UTB include:
