16 July 2024 - Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) hosted a delegation from Hainan University, culminating in the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two universities. The ceremony took place in UTB’s Main Conference Room.
The event commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Hjh Ena Kartina binti Hj Abd Rahman, UTB’s Assistant Vice-Chancellor (Academic Affairs), followed by presentations introducing both universities.
The highlight of the visit was the MoU signing. UTB was represented by Vice-Chancellor Datin Paduka Professor Dr. Dayang Hajah Zohrah binti Haji Sulaiman, with the Assistant Vice-Chancellor (Academic Affairs) as witness. Hainan University’s was signed by the President, Professor Luo Qingming, with Vice-President Professor Gan Diangong as witness.
This MoU marks a significant milestone in enhancing academic and research collaboration between the two institutions. The agreement outlines several key areas of cooperation: Exchange of faculty members and researchers; Student exchange programs at both undergraduate and graduate levels; Joint research initiatives and academic conferences; Sharing of information, publications, and academic materials; and other mutually beneficial activities as agreed upon by both universities.
This partnership aims to foster international academic cooperation and knowledge exchange between UTB and Hainan University.
