UTB and Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS) held a meeting this afternoon for System Demo for Pusat Rujukan Perkamusan Brunei (PRPB), held at the Conference Room UTB.
Representing UTB were Dr Mohamad Saiful bin Haji Omar, Assistant Vice-Chancellor (Industry and Services) UTB; Dr Haji Sharul Tazrajiman bin Haji Tajuddin, Dean of School of Computing and Informatics (SCI) UTB; Dr Wida Susanty Haji Suhaili, Assistant Professor of SCI; and SCI students as developer.
Meanwhile, MCYS was represented by Acting Director of Culture and Arts, Yang Mulia Haji Mohd Abdoh bin Haji Awang Damit; and Language and Literature Bureau was represented by the Acting Director of Language and Literature Bureau, Yang Mulia Awang Suip bin Haji Abdul Wahab.
This demonstrated system is a joint project between UTB and Dictionary Unit of Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka (DBP). The Brunei Dictionary Reference Center is an online system (e-dictionary) that allows users to easily and quickly obtain Brunei dictionary information online. This e-dictionary is based on the Brunei Malay Dictionary's second edition.
