The Department of General Studies, Politeknik Kota Kinabalu Sabah organised an International Webinar on Post Pandemic Pedagogy and Curriculum Instruction. The webinar consists of international speakers from Southeast Asian countries including Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore and Brunei Darussalam.

The webinar covered various aspects of curriculum instruction as well as how educators adapted in the aftereffects of the COVID-19 pandemic. The pandemic has forced academic institutions and students to shift from traditional to online learning, resulting in different pedagogical strategies and curriculum instruction changes.

The presenters came from different institutions which include Asia-Pacific International University, Thailand; National TVET Council Secretariat, Department of Polytechnic and Community College Education, Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM), Malaysia; National University of Singapore (NUS), Singapore; and Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB), Brunei. Representing UTB was Assistant Professor of Centre for Communication, Teaching and Learning (CCTL), Dr Malai Zeiti binti Sheikh Abdul Hamid who presented her session on `Using Innovative Technology to Enhance Student Engagement in the classroom Post Pandemic’.

This webinar aimed to provide a medium for greater understanding of pandemic-induced shifts in teaching and learning, with an emphasis on instructional strategy that will shape how educators and the audience returned to face-to-face classrooms.
