Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) hosted a symposium on "AI and Digital Transformation" held at the university’s Lecture Theatre 2.
Yang Mulia Dr Chin Wei Keh, Deputy Permanent Secretary (Higher Education) representing Permanent Secretary (Higher Education), Ministry of Education, attended as the Guest of Honour.
The symposium began with a recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, and Doa Selamat, followed by a welcoming remark by Yang Mulia Dr Au Thein Wan, Assistant Vice-Chancellor (Student, Services and Alumni).
Yang Mulia Awang Hariharasudhan Ramani, General Manager of Digital Innovation at Shell. delivered the keynote address. He discussed AI’s transformative effects across industries, emphasising its role in improving operational efficiency and driving innovation.
The symposium concluded with an interactive Question and Answer session, allowing attendees to engage with the speaker and gain practical insights into AI and digital transformation applications
