At the heart of our university's success is its people. The Human Resource Management Division, Registrar and Secretary’s Office, Universiti Teknologi Brunei plays a pivotal role in attracting, developing, and retaining talented individuals who drive excellence in teaching, research, and service.

The Human Resource Management Division is committed to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment that empowers UTB staff (Local, Expatriate, Locum Tenens, Part Time Staff, and Adjunct Professor), to thrive in their academic and professional pursuits.

Our HRM team delivers innovative HR solutions and personalized support that align with the university's mission and uphold its core values: Versatility, Integrity, and Perseverance (VIP).

In our daily operations, we we focus on three (3) CORE areas and provide comprehensive services:

1. Human Resource Management Matters, which deal with Strategic Human Resource Planning, Capacity Building, Discipline, Competency Framework, Succession Planning, Management Audit, Benefits Administration, Human Resource Policy Implementation and endorsing SSM Applications.
2. Personnel Matters, including Talent Acquisition, Recruitment of Towering Talents, Staff Deployment, Staff Retirements, Managing Statistics, Onboarding New Staff, Contract Agreements Signing, To Whom It May Concern (TWIC) Verification, Visa and Work Pass Applications and contract facility monitoring.
3. Rewards Development Matters are providing a rewarding experience for university staff in areas of Staff Promotion, Continuous Professional Development (CPD), Migration to the New SPTA Scheme, Learning and Development, In-Service Training, Staff Excellence Awards, Medals of Honour, and Investiture Orders.

The HRM TEAM

The Human Resource Management Division is led by Registrar and Secretary, with the Deputy Registrar (Human Resource Management) providing key support, alongside and two (2) highly skilled, professional Assistant Registrars (AR): AR Personnel and AR Rewards Development.

In addition to the Assistant Registrars, this division is also supported by a team of proactive, resourceful and reliable clerks who demonstrate exceptional capabilities.
