UTB012A | Creative Authoring Tools Level 1

Creative Authoring Tools (CAT) is a short course programme offered to those who wish to develop skills in producing digital work using various multimedia elements. The products are ‘digitally tangible products.’ Participants will put the creative development process into practice and will be exposed and trained using the different creative authoring tools.

In this course participants will be introduced to the fundamental functions and tools of the applications.

• Level 1: Adobe Photoshop
  The Photoshop package is the standard image manipulation tool for electronic publishers, artists, teachers, designers and photographers.
• Level 2: Adobe Illustrator
  The Illustrator package is the standard for creating drawings, illustrations, and artwork for electronic manipulation tools for electronic publishers, artists, teachers, designers and photographers.
• Level 3: Adobe After Effects
  The After Effects package is the standard for video professionals to create engaging motion graphics and cinematic visual effects. It is used for 2D and 3D animation purposes; creating dynamic text animation using robust typography tools, applying non-destructive effects to video using various tinting and adjustment methods, isolating objects from their background using rotoscoping technology and correcting for camera shake by utilizing cutting edge stabilization features.
